A product with history and passion


Raclette or fried cheese, as it was still called at the time, appears in written traditions from Unterwalden as early as the 12th century. These writings tell of a cheese that was melted over open fires. According to these records, one can rightly assume that around 1291 William Tell, Switzerland's national legend, already enjoyed fried cheese as a snack before shooting the apple.


Today, raclette is the most popular semi-hard cheese in Switzerland and delights people all over the world. Reto Güntensperger, known as Günti to his friends, has long dreamed of making his own raclette. But not just anything, but a mature melting experience with its own cultures it should become. A lot of craftsmanship and fine adjustments were finally necessary to live up to this dream.


But as they say, "good things take time" and the end result is now a hot product for the cold days of extraordinary pleasure.

The mild Günti's Raclette is the perfect melting dish when it comes to inspire as many people as possible. Crispy due to the delicious crust and wonderfully aromatic with the fine cheese dough fits wonderfully over potatoes, bread, vegetables meat, etc.. Especially in the colder seasons Günti's Raclette fits almost every evening (or noon?).


The raclette is available, as so often with the Güntensperger cheese products, in two versions - mild or spicy. While the mild version can be served to virtually anyone, the spicy version inspires the cheese lovers with more pretensions.
